First Smile!

Abigail has been gracing us with super cute smiles since the beginning, but they have been "milk drunk" or generally not on purpose smiles (aka mostly with her eyes closed). Today she smiled for her daddy for the first time - and we miraculously caught it on camera!

The public health nurse who has been visiting us almost weekly since she was born (amazing, I know - we are so grateful!) told us that around 6 weeks, they start to smile back at you and recognize you. So Claude has been playing with her and instructing her that she is now 6 weeks (6 weeks 1 day, 6 weeks 2 days...7 weeks 2 days) so "Smile!" - and today she did!
